NON-PROFIT STATUS
The Sorority retains a Statutory Agent in the State of New Jersey who is responsible for filing the Corporate Annual Report certifying compliance to operate as a nonprofit business entity. The Sorority is exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Sorority is also classified as a public charity under section 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Contributions made to the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated are deductible under section 170 of the Code, and the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106, or 2522 of the Internal Revenue Code.
